each style template (view your profile and see list of styles - in the Profile-Preferences just above the Avatar Control option) has an option to view new posts since last visit or find your posts.
for AOL user's the view new posts since last visit will only work w/in the first minute of logging in because AOHell changes the IP address every minute, and the board assumes user logged out and in.
"I keep getting logged out and I lose my post"
this happens a lot w/AOL type connections because AOL changees the IP address every minute. when logging in, check the "Keep me logged in option". "Logout" when done or simply quit browser window.
and since I just discovered it myself
to see the lastest post in a forum, click the "View Latest Post" icon to the right of last poster's user name (I wonder why the poster's name couldn't just be a link to the last post instead of profile. 
oh well, I wasn't invited to the design meetings )
