ok with friends like hers she didn't need enemies! you mean to tell me with all the girls plastered in photographs all over every news media that NOT ONE of her friends could see her leaving with THREE MEN!! and pull her away for her own safety? what'd they think that three men would safely bring her home?

her friends saw her through the night and saw who she left with, but just let her go? well damn!

and now everyone has to stop what they're doing because of their own drunken carelessness! perhaps their parents should have given them the "when you're drunk off your ass in another country, could you at least have a chaperone with you at all times!"

sorry she's gone, but tired of hearing about it as if it's a national crisis or a problem that couldn't have been prevented. I'm sure she's long drifted out into the ocean somewhere and will never be found given how drunk she was.

she's only been plastered all over the cover of every newspaper and top story on television on online news for the past 2 weeks.

she's a teenager who went to aruba with friends, got drunk off her ass while with her friends and left with 3 strange men and has not been seen or heard from since.

so now the whole world has to stop because they weren't responsible enough to look out for their drunk friend leaving with 3 strange men. so either her friends knew she wanted to get laid by 3 men or her friends didn't care if she was going to be raped by 3 men and just watched her leave

can we PLEASE take this story OFF CNN, FOX news, both on TV and online?!

this is a personal family matter, not a national crisis. what would be more interesting is following her friends around and asking them night and day, "why'd you let your drunk friend leave with 3 strange men?"

instead careers are being built from her irresponsibility to drink responsibily or pick the right friends to drink with.

my gut instinct tells me she wandered off drunk and fell from something and is unreachable and certainly by now dead.

and what was so wrong in a judge telling his son something that was common sense: no body, no case. hello. they probably don't know what happened to her, they weren't responsible for her drunk self, her friends and family were.

please get off my news with that dumb plea to all parents. perhaps it should have been to all parents who don't teach their daughters to drink and travel responsibily.

tired of hearing about this nonsense

and tired of changing channel everytime her story airs anywhere.

and now men who may not have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with her drunk daughter's disappearance are supposed to be treated differently because she says so

You have no idea what you're talking about miss tam-ra! The stories have changed so much and there are wayyyyy too many versions of them now. No one knows for sure how much she had to drink. Some say she was a wee bit tipsy, while others say she was plowed. The dutch boy is reported to have used date-rape drug on girls in the past. This could have been the case with her. Do you also know it's been reported that someone SAW the dutch boy punch Natalee in the face????

Don't blame the victim until you know the circumstances.

Plus, Aruban LE seems to be hiding something............

hmmm....definitely not blaming the victim -- she couldn't help her own behavior, however, I *do* think her friends should have kept an eye on her, and all their friends. they reported seeing her leave with THREE GUYS??!

oh and her "friends" stated initially she had been drinking heavily. the same "friends" who saw her leaving and who she was with.

when you're out with your girlfriends, do they not look out for you? if not, then with friends like that...

and also, this ain't news nor should it be treated like a national crisis, including with the use of military jets. this is about money and power only. because I don't think all these resources would be spent if it were a poor worker-bee of the same nightclub who disappeared.

The case is staying alive, because the Aruban gov't is trying to make it go away without solving it. The military jets.........those are from the Netherlands. Americans aren't fitting the bill for the search, although there ARE Americans over there helping out with the search.....VOLUNTEERING, because they have also lost loved ones.

There were 40 kids in that group at Carlos & Charlies that night. It's not possible to keep an eye on all of them. They were all having their own fun. And who's to say her closest friends were even there at the club? Some of them were at the pool, other clubs, etc.

When I go out with friends, it's usually in a much smaller group......but, we were adults and when one wanted to 'go home' or eat with another guy.....we didn't stop them. Maybe that wasn't the safest thing, but these were kids. They couldn't have forseen what was going to happen.

well I guess her friends are liars too, because several, who were all "shedding tears" and expressing sorrow on global news, all mentioned when the story first broke how they saw who she was with, for how long, and saw her leaving with three guys, the same three guys her "friends" were able to identify which led to their arrest.

I just know as a teenager, when I was with my friends at parties or events, we always looked out for each other and didn't turn away to do our own thing, esp. w/out making sure all our friends were with us. we just didn't leave our friends with strange boys, esp. where alcohol is consumed, and this was even New Orleans where alcohol is available 24/7.

but again, no way to determine an outcome, probably not with prevention either.
