I'm so grateful for the way my parents raised me to be open to all walks of life and for my very large melting pot family - we have black, haitian, loatian, iranian, honduran and of course, pollocks
I just moved to Chicago about 3 years ago from a pretty small town in Indiana, just 2 clicks from the cornfield. Not unlike most small towns, there was so much hatred for anything and anyone out of the "norm" and I couldn't stand it!! While I know the hatred is everywhere, it is so refreshing to live in such a large multi-cultural multi-lifestyle city.
I live in the heart of "Boystown" - the openly gayest, rainbows everywhere, neighborhood in this city - and I couldn't ask for a better, friendlier (and cleaner) place to live!
