a man who was working part-time as an Easter Bunny in a mall in Florida took off the head of his costume and joined in w/his wife with beating up a woman who was simply asking a question. children were also present when the Easter Bunny issued the beat down.

I kid you not. the story's been airing on CNN, but I haven't seen the video online yet.

Easter Bunny Arrested After Mall Brawl
Rambunctious Rabbit & His Wife Both Fired
Charged With Battery & Disturbing The Peace

(CBS4 News) FORT MYERS The Easter Bunny isn’t always cute and cuddly. A Florida Easter Bunny went hippity-hop all the way to jail over the weekend - for beating up a mother in front of her family in a mall brawl. Sometimes the truth can indeed be stranger than fiction.

It began when a 6 foot tall, 280-pound Easter Bunny (aka Arthur McClure, 22) decided to end his shift early at a Fort Myers mall on Saturday, as a line of kids and parents were waiting patiently to take photos with him.

When one woman, Erin Johansson, complained to McClure's assistant, Crystal Frechette, the two women began to argue and Frechette (who’s married to McClure) allegedly hauled off and punched her in the face, cops said.

The rambunctious rabbit, still in costume, raced to his wife’s aid, ripped off his bunny head, and also began belting Johansson in the head, according to cops.

According to the victim’s husband Robert Johansson, "It was something like you would see in a movie. The next thing you know my wife is sucker punched by the manager, she is pulled to the ground by her hair and then the Easter Bunny jumps on top and starts punching my wife in the head."

Some youngsters at the scene started crying while witnessing the violence.

McLure says he never punched Johannson and that he was only trying to stop the fight between the two women.

Frechette acknowledges punching Johansson and says the woman poked her as she closed the set.

Mall management issued an apology.

McClure and Frechette have been fired.

McLure, who lists his occupation as “Easter Bunny”, and Frechette were both fired and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department has charged them with battery and disturbing the peace.

I am picturing the kids faces of shock. Should I help the woman getting beat down? Or the Easter Bunny for more treats?

That is too funny...now alot of those parents will have to explain that to their kids...might even be dramatizing (sp) for some of them...

I mean, if you were a 5 year old waiting to see the Easter Bunny and that happened, what would YOU think?

Yep, these two are definately from the bunch of 'idiots that breed idiots' that I ranted about a while ago...
