Child welfare, deputy visit Spears' home

Tuesday, April 11, 2006; Posted: 7:51 p.m. EDT (23:51 GMT)

MALIBU, California (AP) -- Child welfare officials and a sheriff's deputy visited the home of Britney Spears but declined to say Tuesday whether they were investigating the pop princess.

Spears and her husband, Kevin Federline, are the parents of an infant son, Sean Preston.

The Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services and the Lost Hills sheriff's station declined to give details of Saturday afternoon's visit.

"It's a very standard, routine patrol request," Lt. Debra Glaskides said Tuesday. "We just roll out with them. We stood by, we took no action, no report or anything."

The Sheriff's Department said it was a DCFS matter and couldn't release any information. Glaskides said there may not even be a DCFS investigation, noting it may have been only a welfare check.

Phone and e-mail messages left for Spears' New York publicist, Leslie Sloane Zelnik, weren't immediately returned.

In February, DCFS visited Spears' home after publication of photographs showing the 24-year-old singer driving with then 4-month-old Sean Preston in her lap, rather than in a car seat as required by law.

Spears later apologized, saying she did it because of a "horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi."

DCFS director Louise Grasmehr didn't return a phone message left Tuesday at her Los Angeles office. The department routinely refuses to discuss cases, citing confidentiality laws.
she can't afford decent childcare with all the money she's made??

I think Ron White says it best. "You can't fix stupid."

Britney’s son reportedly dropped from chair
Child welfare officials visit Malibu estate after Sean Preston slips

MALIBU, Calif. - Child welfare officials and a sheriff’s deputy visited Britney Spears’ home because her infant son was accidentally dropped from a high chair, according to published reports.

Six-month-old Sean Preston fell April 1 as his nanny was lifting him from the high chair and something in the chair snapped, Star magazine reported Tuesday. The infant slipped from her arms and fell, bruising his head on the floor, the magazine said.

People magazine and the Los Angeles Times also reported the incident on Wednesday.

Though a doctor examined the baby at the house, Spears and husband Kevin Federline took the baby to the emergency room to have him examined six days later, People said.

Spears’ attorney, Martin Singer, said in a statement that the hospital made a report to the Department of Children and Family Services as required by state law.

“DCFS immediately responded and determined there was no problem and no reason to open a formal investigation. They determined that the parents weren’t involved in the injury and nothing was improper within the home,” he said.

The Los Angeles DCFS and the Lost Hills sheriff’s station declined to give details of Saturday’s visit, and would not say if there was an ongoing investigation. DCFS public-affairs director Louise Grasmehr didn’t return a phone message left Tuesday at her Los Angeles office. The department routinely refuses to discuss cases, citing confidentiality laws.

“It’s a very standard, routine patrol request,” Lt. Debra Glaskides said Tuesday. “We just roll out with them. We stood by, we took no action, no report or anything.”

Britney hires a babysitter — for her husband

Britney Spears has hired a babysitter — for her hubby.

The “Oops, I Did It Again” crooner is paying a minder/bodyguard to keep an eye on her aspiring rap star husband Kevin Federline, according to In Touch Weekly.

“The last thing Britney wants to do is accompany Kevin on all his club dates,” an “insider” told the mag. “That’s why she hired a babysitter — a person who will keep Kevin from misbehaving and report directly back to her.”

The move reportedly came after one of Spears’ most trusted security guys, an ex-CIA agent named Richard, quit because of Federline’s partying.

“Richard is a straitlaced guy, and he was upset with Kevin’s behavior,” a “pal” told the mag. Spears eventually convinced Richard to return — after promising to do something about her partying hubby. “I’ll take care of the Kevin situation,” she allegedly promised, “if you take care of me.”

Federline was not thrilled about having the round-the-clock sitter, says the mag, but “Britney told him it wasn’t up for negotiation.”
this is the stuff that should have been on their reality show :) everyone but here knew the guy was a clown

:lmfao: See this proves my mom was right. Think about how you get your man cause if it was so easy for you to get him that way what makes you think it won't be that easy for the next girl. She should have known he has this girl preggie and he hooking up with me time to pump the brakes a little.

K-Fed: 'If you want to hate me, cool, hate me'

POSTED: 4:04 p.m. EDT, October 26, 2006
NEW YORK (AP) -- Kevin Federline, aka K-Fed and Mr. Britney Spears, says he shrugs off his naysayers.

"If you want to hate me, cool, hate me," Federline, 28, says in an interview posted Thursday on People magazine's Web site. "You know why? Because all it's going to do is help me."

Federline, an aspiring rapper, has been aggressively promoting his debut album, "Playing With Fire," set for release October 31. Amid a chorus of boos, he was body-slammed by wrestler John Cena in an October 16 appearance on USA Network's "WWE Monday Night Raw." And don't forget his panned performance at this year's Teen Choice Awards.

"I know who I am," says Federline, who promises the album will show his "edgy side."

Last month, he portrayed an arrogant teen on CBS' "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

"I shocked myself," he tells People. "There were parts that I wish I would have done different, but there are parts that really took me, like, 'Wow, did I do that?' I looked at myself and I was like, 'It looked good. It looked perfect."'

Spears, 24, and Federline were married in September 2004. They have two sons, Sean Preston, 1, and a son born September 12, whose name was revealed to be Jayden James . The couple have not confirmed the name.

Federline also has two children from a previous relationship.

"It's just time to get my stuff down while they're young, so I can sit back and watch them grow up," he says.
