And I agree, there IS too much focus on the families living with each other and not enough focus on day-to-day activities.
I have to say this...with the exception of Rose, the white family doesn't get it at all. Just because they haven't experienced outright racism yet doesn't prove that its not there. Carmen is an idiot...how in the hell do you think that saying bitch to ANYONE can be anything but negative?!
There have been very, VERY few instances where race was actually perceived...like in the 1st episode where Nick went into that shoe store in his white makeup and immediately noticed a difference in the was he was treated...that hit home because I personally have never had someone actually use a shoe horn and fit the shoe for me. I didn't even know that they DO that!

But anyways, returning to the original topic...I honestly think that Rose will be the only one to get something valuable out of this experience.
