being the first generation of my family born w/education, job and voting rights since slavery, this information still feels new because I know the white kids and parents who spit in my family's black and white faces while enjoying basic human privileges are the same age as myself. that type of hatred doesn't die. and we're talking all whites in certain towns w/hatred towards blacks, either as a multi-generation U.S. citizen or a newly arriving immigrant
you can only wonder about the path each of these persons shouting hateful things at blacks for wanting basic civil rights. could be a military leader, congressional leader, law enforcement leader, etc. until the U.S. acknowledges its role in creating this situation, this and their attitudes will remain a problem.
