I know wasn't Babe Ruth a compulsive gambler or something like that?

that's why I like the good guys like Jose Canseco :lmfao:

just kidding. but DiMaggio was one of the decent ones. he just wanted a simple life in spite of his surroundings and celeb world.

but I don't know what it is, I grew up on some basketball, and even had the privilege of having Pistol Pete Maravich in New Orleans. but for the first time I am not glued to the TV. I can't focus on the game because of the majority of men behind the ball. hey that was a good pun

It is a lot more fun when I can root for a player or team, win or lose, because they are people I respect and admire.

I was a big fan of Steve Garvey of the L.A. Dodgers. It seemed that he even had a future in politics, but after he retired, he went and knocked up three woman at the same time.

I like to think my rose colored glasses don't extend beyond the world of sports, but don't ask for any evidence. Still, I'm glad the Lakers didn't sign Latrell Sprewell or Ruben Patterson, and I hope they don't trade for Ron Artest.

funny we originally had a Latrell Sprewell watch forum, but a few people continually complained about Latrell having his own forum. I figured we would at some point always be talking about him.
