Have you given up on basketball?

Post by Marcus »

T are you planning on watching this year or did you really mean you're through with NBA for good?

Shaq is out for about a month with ankle injury in case you haven't heard.

Kobe is still trying to be the man.

So far nothing exciting.

between the Kobe Bryant sex-capades, the fighting in the stands, and all the other nigglet nonsense, I can't support basketball anymore.

I feel like I'm watching a thugs and black men who hate black women soap opera.

in fact, I'm not watching much of sports except for hockey, tennis and ice skating (:o yes, it's considered a sporting competition). those are pretty safe. yes even hockey because it's all about the puck.

pretty much anything that doesn't involve a black man in a sporting uniform I'm watching it. take it how you want it, just through w/the nonsense

NFL cheerleaders caught having sex with each other :o, then one punches someone out and gives fake ID to cops during arrest

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5062334

again, too much privilege given to people who in turn act like degenerates. can't even have enough sense to do their dirt in private, and have enough money to practice disgression.

can't support NBA, NFL and leaning towards MLB next, as well as many of the sponsors for this ongoing dramatic nonsense.

and as for this:

McNabb's dad linking Owen's behavior to black-on-black crime  gimme a break! ridiculous drama!

I hear that Tams. I'm stuck watching sports in my house or dad's house. Men don't care about the drama. They will watch the drama & the sports too. If sports are not on TV they are talking about them. :yap: No escape from it on this end.

I can't believe (then again, I can) that I haven't watched one NBA game this year. I guess I mean business. I do like Yao Ming, but gotta boycott the outrageous behavior of the athletes in general. otherwise, I feel like I'm supporting one big prostitution ring and orgy after the Kobe Bryant festival in Vail, Colorado!

Some of us don't particularly care for Kobe, the Lakers, or even basketball in general, but I'm thrilled. The Lakers just finished a six game road trip going five and one. I hate to admit to being a pessimist, but I was hoping they'd break even. They won four games on road against teams with winning records, and would squeak into the playoffs if the season ended today. So far, this is quite an improvement over last season, I hope they can keep it going.

...and while married, not have any orgies in hotel rooms w/"just trying to get paid" freaks, and then it becomes a public freak show rape case

or rush the stands like a broke no class bum after a stupid fan throws a soda on millionaires

or locker room corporate prostitution a.k.a. selected groupies (mostly white teen girls/women for black men mostly raised in all black/poor neighborhoods) made available for extra-marital affairs

or snort coke or drink alcohol like it's going out of style

or lock wife out of home in a ghetto rage while she's naked

or make baby, after baby, after baby, after baby, after baby... but no marriage and no expectation of being a father to child

or pretty much anything else questionable and ridiculous

I just feel like I'm watching the breaks between the nonsense when they're playing. off court they're people I don't even want to look at. :hand: or know of. the game is just a breather from their actual lives.

That being said, the Lakers are looking good, and you're not going to rain on my parade.

I must admit, I liked it better when I was a kid. I didn't know that Micky Mantle was an alcoholic, and thought he was more than just a mere mortal.
