Well, I had such a CRAZY day on Saturday that I just had to write about a couple of customers in particular that made my day a living hell...
It always seems the crazies come out during the holidays, and this lady was one of them...Now, I was working the will-call counter that day (Its the place where phone orders are processed and customers can pick them up, and it works as a regular checkout too) there was someone else in there with me that day, because we were very busy being the holidays and all. Now, this lady came up with a laptop, a printer, and a bunch of software...and being as I work in a computer store, there were alot of mail in rebates that she had. Now the first thing she said was "Okay, before you start I want you to work with me on this ok?" Now granted I had absolutely NO idea what she meant, I just kinda nodded my head and went "Ok". Now our sales manager came up to thank her for her purchase, and helped her sort out all the rebates she had, since she had no idea what she was supposed to do with them. Before I even STARTED, she said that the same manager told her she would get 10% off all the software that she was buying for signing up for a card, and that the salesperson helping her told her the same thing. Now, my store never, EVER has promotions like that...nothing ever goes on sale at such a small percentage, we either have great deals at set prices (no %'s) or no sale at all. So I should've known right then she was full of crap. The manager immediately told her that we couldn't do the 10% off thing, and she was ok with that, and complained about it just a little, claiming that the salesperson lied, etc, etc...so anyway, I start ringing her stuff and copying her rebates right, and for a while everything was good...but apparently sometime in the middle of the sale, another salesman walked up with a laptop case and was handing it over the counter for an order to the person that was in will-call with me...and she snapped at him and said "Don't bring that over here or else you'll lose this sale!" I finished and handed her the receipt, and she started going off about the price of a piece of software, thinking that it was on sale...when even her OWN SON said that it wasn't...I called the salesperson and then the manager but neither one responded, and THATS when she got mad at me. Remember when I said that she wanted me to "Work with her on this"? Apparently that meant walking through the sale reading off each item in price...but she didn't actually SAY that...and I tried apologizing but she just wouldn't let it go that I did that and before I knew it, she got really upset and said "Cancel the sale!" And I was just like well...CRAP! I knew I would be in some trouble if she just walked out without buying anything, but eventually a manager DID come over and straighten her out...I seriously thought I was done but shortly after that EVERYONE said that there was something wrong with her and not to blame myself for what happened. She was just trying to get something for nothing...I hate that.

ummm
some people, you just have to feel sorry for them, because even the simplest things can't be comprehended.
but you know...I believe this is the person I had to drop kick outta my life, don't know how she made it to your neighborhood.
maybe she got lost on way home and drove across country. that I can see happening.
her and her husband's fake business wanted EVERYTHING for nothing, which they were getting, including wanting handholding for every simple thing. to the point where "I'm ok. how is this benefitting me?" and I'm in no position to be someone's personal assistant and brain.
but only to find out the wife was actually mentally retarded and became obsessed because she had nothing else to focus on. and they really did need hand holding because they couldn't read and comprehend.
it could have been worse, you could have been living with her.
can you imagine?

Okay, heres another couple quickie retail-parodies for you (Remember, I work in a COMPUTER store):
A customer actually walked into the store one day, and asked me: "Excuse me...do you know where the computer store is?"
*I point in the direction of the isles*
"Oh! Thank you!"
Wow...that was almost the dumbest question I've EVER heard, but this one topped it...
Apparently this one woman came in and asked one of my co-workers: "Excuse me...but do you sell computers here?"
(When I first heard this I almost DIED laughing)
Ya know, I completely forgot about this post from before, sorry!
