spambot postings - what to do

as soon as you see it move it to the non-public spambot evidence folder - don't report it, just immediately move it

how to move: at the bottom of every thread/discussion there are a series of moderator buttons for mods

first is usualy delete (X), second is the move option (which usually has a half arrow pointing right, unless the template has a special graphic) - either way as you hover over, the move option will be displayed

click the Move button option
select the SpamBot Evidence folder
UNCHECK the leave shadow of topic -- if you leave it checked it leaves a copy in both the new location and old location.

and that's all you have to do.

reporting it, leaving it, or interacting w/it gives it more exposure than needed and the possibility of someone clicking on it, which is how these degenerates make their money.

I just turn around and report the url directly to the feds because it is nothing more than organized crime all around.

I hope it's worth it for them. because the info goes to so many places they'll be in so much trouble just for having the site alone, let alone soliciting.

these people don't care. most don't speak or read english. they're just paid to run scripts for illegal services. if it was legal, they wouldn't be going through so much nonsense for the exposure. they'd advertise like everyone else.

now the spammer is taking to replying, and now it's been confirmed it is a bitter person. because instead of just replying, they decided to quote but then removed a portion of the topic quoted. a robot can't do that.

either way, both the domain being advertised and the IP being masked through are being reported to a variety of centers for shutdown.

either way I just used the split post option and isolated their one post directly into the spam evidence folder.
