NEW YORK - A 9-year-old boy is in critical but stable condition after suffering a gunshot wound to the head in the Bronx. New York City police said it was initially reported that the boy hit his head on a door while trying to jump out of the way during gunfire in a fifth-floor landing at about 12:45 Sunday morning. The boy was taken to Harlem Hospital and police were told he suffered a graze wound to his cheek. After getting medical treatment it was determined the boy had been shot in the head.
No arrests have been made.
