Indiana Sex/Violent Offenders ONLINE

Post by miltie »

Not sure if other states have this available yet or if there is a national database, but Indiana now has sex offenders and violent crime offenders online as of today.

http://www.indianasheriffs.org

You can enter city, address, or zip code to get them mapped in proximity. You can also search by name!
I'm not sure what info it displays because I tried my parents address and it timed out. maybe a lot of people are checking it out right now.

But this is good  parents need to know this stuff!

This is another good one that John Walsh of AMW advocates. Michigan has one called MIPSOR....Michigan Public Sex Offender Registry. The state police put this one out. Unfortunately, alot of sex offenders will move and not update their info like they are supposed to. But, they also post pics of the perps, their crimes and there is even a terminology page for the registry. Links for this can be found on http://www.woodtv.com .

Yep...I found out that there is a sex offender that lives kitty-corner from my daughter's school, and since he has lived there before this new law got voted on in MI where convicted sex offenders cannot live within so many yards from a school, he does not have to move, and I found out thru watchdog that one just moved around the corner and up the street aways from where we are moving.

The watchdog website was sent to me in an e-mail from a friend of mine that runs a daycare. You can never be too careful anymore.

P.S. I thought we were safe in a small village....turns out that there are 4 offenders in our village.....three within walking distance of my home.

I think almost every state does that now, even through your local police department as well. and do you notice how in almost every state they're housed near kids?

that's like putting a crackhead next door to a crack house.

that's why I loved what Dennis Miller said about best tracking is burial! easy to find and less costs to find them.

local police department web links should also do this: provide offenders age, address, and photo, the age and sex of the child offended and how, and what level offender he is. shocking to see women on the list, but they're out there.

however, I love their disclaimer about not using this to commit a crime against them. well how about not using us as bait for them to commit a crime against someone else.

I haven't seen a sex predators site for NYC. I hope it exists. But I have seen the child support Wall of Shame site from the Office of Child Support. Photos of the dead beat dads, their names and last seen are on the site.
