Andrea Yates gets new trial, however,

Post by Hmph »

her husband needs to be tried as well. he left the kids alone w/her knowing something was wrong w/her. more responsibility should have been taken to see that she had someone around monitoring her for everyone's safety.

Several people are responsible 4 the kids death. Not just her. She was a ticking bomb waiting to go off on herself or something. Many just sat by & waited.

Suppose she had killed herself @ home with her kids. The kids would have been left alone unattended. Then the kids left unattended to could have burned house down. This is something the father & their parents should have always kept in mind.

Yup! Mr. Yates is as much to blame as she is. On his last interview he shocked his audience by stating that he wanted to remarry and spawn a new family.
I wanted to knock him out and drag him over to the vasectemy shop.

Wabbit dearest, Those children would be alive today had Andrea been smart enough to kill herself. Though had they survived, no telling what their lives would be like with the father they were stuck with. Instead she found the strength to hold each one of them under water and drowned them.
Why hasn't she killed herself? Why? Why? She has absolutely no reason to want to be here, yet she wants another trial?
For the love of God, give up Andrea!

it does appear there's more concern about her fate in the judicial system than what she did. she didn't want her kids to suffer from her or life in general so felt they'd be better off dead. but she can continue to live w/hope for a better life?
:wtf:

I would have thought by now she'd be dead. and if she's allowed to become pregnant again :o well, I don't know what to say about that one, esp. if the child isn't taken from her immediately after its birth, assuming she doesn't kill the child during pregnancy.

I didn't track this case. All I know was 5 kids shouldn't have died. But in other states depending on issue fathers r charged with mother when a child dies in their care

Her defense was that God told her to kill them because they "kids" were evil.
If she get's transferred to a psychiatric hospital, it's still the same as a prison.
The only difference is the med's are plentiful and so are the real nutcases.
But it's all bars and barbwire. Most of those patients do volunteer for tube tying and vasectamy's.

Well, for that matter then, from now on, Every time I EFF something Up, I'm just going to say "It's not my fault, I'm just crazy".

Sorry, I know being clinically nuts is not laughing matter, but I agree with Tracy, there are others here to blame... Did they not realize what was happening with her, ESPECIALLY Her husband who must have seen her everyday??

Gee I am crazy too. I'm the crazy juror for her trial. Oh I'm sorry, did I accidentally send you to death row. :yernuts: Crazier things have happened.

The hubby should fry with her. They're both sickos.
