I am getting brave enough to introduce a new topic.

I am waiting for the next Harry Potter book.
Anyone else a Potter fan?

You all sound very educated and I am learning a lot from this Web place. I love reading all your thoughts and trying to get into your brain space to see what makes you tick.

Sorry to say,but I haven't yet read any harry potter books. I always mean to, but haven't yet. I've heard a lot of good things about them tho.

I am a child at heart and in order to better understand what the kids are thinking, I thought I would start with Harry Potter.
If you do decide to read any Harry Potter, be sure to start with the first one.
The author is a genius when it comes to intrigue and mystery and complicated plots.
Its just pure fun.

all I've ever heard about them by the many adults who actually buy and read the books is the mysteries are very good.

the adults have kids so of course, they want to read the books to make sure ok content wise, but then get hooked on the series.

but I'll ask someone who has several books and see if I can get them to post or provide their comments about Harry Potter books.

Ask me, I have them all. The new one arrives in mid July.

well I've never read the books, I thought you were looking for more info on ideas about the book. so i guess I should have kept my fingers tied on this one

but personally, I can't get into fantasy type stuff. never saw either of the movies, or really none of the similar typed movies. it's hard enough thinking about reality let alone storing other info.

From past experience, trying to get Tamra to read a book is like pulling teeth. Just send her the cliff notes or PM her the endings.

I was looking for other fans and wondering if any on the forum had read any of the books.
Not everyone likes the same thing. I would love to read more but its like exercise. I would love to but don't.
I like the fantasy because it takes me away from the reality of this life.
ohNooo we need you to keep your eyes open for the real reality and keep us informed and warned.

I started reading the new Harry Potter, and it seems okay. Honestly, I haven't read either of the others ... but I seen both of the movies, and I was impressed. When it comes to books, if it's gonna be fictional, I'd rather it be reality-based fiction. Things like Paintings that can't be taken down, with images that move and talk to you would never happen. And I don't really find it an interesting read ... but watching it in a movie is always fascinating. I'm gonna try to see how far I get, but so far I'm only in the 2nd Chapter. And as you know, the chapters aren't that long.

I can't wait for the movie though. I'm sure it's gonna be good. Just from the l ittle bit I've read thusfar. The mystery in Harry Potter is undeniable.
