Eventually the DA will have to present a case, and we'll see what he has.

Maybe, these three young men from Maryland, New Jersey, and New York became the typical southern racist rapists that you describe.

Then again, the entire case might be a "crock" as the accuser's companion originally stated, before she was assisted by the DA with her embezzlement repayment program.

Imagine if you were accused of a crime. What you would think if circumstances determined that you were guilty, without a shadow of doubt, before one piece of evidence was presented at your trial?

if the DA has no case and the grand jury was incompetent I wouldn't be spending my time feeding negative stories about a black stripper. that's a moot point. mainstream media wouldn't give a shit about a black stripper or black woman raped by white men anyway. so trashing her name w/a vengeance wreaks of something to hide.

if I know the evidence or lack there of will clear me then I'd go on about my business and wait for the trial or case to be dropped.

instead they lawyered up, took the 5th, and began trashing her name.

and let's not forget the same dancer who's trashing her would be trashed as well if she actually witnessed the incident. and also let's not forget her saying "how can I spin this situation to my advantage". she sounds like a real skank and needs to be where she belongs: on the side of the defense.

That's interesting, but pure supposition.

The actions of the accused, their lawyers, and the media after the incident may be an indication of guilt or innocence, but certainly not proof.

The campaign Kobe's lawyers ran on his accuser didn't mean that he was necessarily guilty.

yeah but my point is mainstream media will defend and protect women like kate faber.

black strippers are already deemed worthless. so the trashing her name is stupid, esp. given who they're trashing her name too. they will not be jurors. they should be focusing on the evidence of what happened in that house, and should have been more forthcoming about what happened. and if it's supposedly a large black community that the DA is trying to appease, then their jury will also be predominately black.

so calling her a black whore, tramp, and all other things while ignoring what actually happened in that frat house won't help. the players indicted are basically saying we should not be prosecuted because she's a drunk, black tramp and to screw evidence and their lack of cooperation and lack of honesty.

You make a good point, much of what the defense lawyers are doing is an attempt to taint the jury pool against the accuser.

Old southern saying,"A hit dog will holler." My grandma used to say that to all of us when she would say who did.. and ususally the first person to say not me was the one who did it. Personally if I didn't do something I would not start trashing the person accusing me. I mean no one is applauding the fact this girl is a mother and is going to school and working. Maybe her job of choice isn't the best occupation but most jobs don't go well with school and a kid. As far as Ms. Co-worker goes she is going to say or do whatever gets her ahead of the game. Most rape victims deny things to the nurses and police out of shame and guilt and what she said to these people shouldn't be used against her. Those guys might be Yankees but even Rhett Butler came to the south and learned the game doesn't take long to figure it out.

Speaking out against injustice is admirable.

Many victims’ rights advocates wanted to use the Kobe Bryant case to further their cause. It was a just cause, but they picked the wrong case.

I believe that what you are saying is true, but despite of the odds against it, you have picked the wrong case, as well.

After reading this I wonder just exactly why people would think nothing went on at at that party. I mean what kind of a freakin joke is killing strippers? And they have reinstated him. Come on now. No one can say the south isn't a giant boys club.

I would have quoted the article here but I wasn't sure if I could, but check it out anyway.

For the last couple of weeks there have been article after article about how weak the case is against the three players, but not a single post. Now a negative article about a player not even charged and it proves how guilty they are.

It seems that your mind is made up, that anything that casts doubt on their guilt is ignored and the slightest negative information reaffirms your fixed opinion.

I read that a student that attends the same school as the accuser didn't care if they were guilty or not, they wanted them to go to jail for past injustices. I doubt that your opinion is all that different.

Everyone deserves a fair trial, it is fortunate for the accused that you are not in a position of authority. You are so wrapped up in past history and unrelated circumstances that you are either unwilling or unable to look at this case objectively.

I recieved this from my google desktop news alert and it was the first one I have seen related to the case so I posted it. Could you possible post a couple of links about the case if you don't mind cause I really would like to know. Ever notice that courts don't find a person innocent just not guilty. I think thats because sometimes a person might have done the crime and it just can't be proven. That might be the case here. Doesn't mean nothing happened just means it can't be proven.
