None of the players are men. They're coward creeps. There should be a hiring ban on Duke graduates who were on the lacrosse team because given what they did b4 & after the rape we now know they're unethical liars, or the next generation of Enron execs.

I also don't like how the player's identities are being protected. They're man enough to mouth off, they're man enough to have their faces shown. If they were black players their faces would be plastered on every TV & paper news, most def if the victim was a white female. Stripper or not, the media would make her a saint while making the "accused" out to be animals. Her home wouldn't be shown on TV like the Duke victim's home has been shown repeatedly.

Kate Faber's ID, home and other info was well protected. But she was a known town slut.

Joe Cheshire, a defense attorney for the piss ant Duke University lacrosse team rapists has determined that the woman was a "hoe" and is making up the story, but he can't explain why she would make up the story.

his exact words on CNN is that "he's done some work on her". too bad he couldn't do some work and investigate the actual rapists. but he's living proof that w/any amount of money even the devil can be defended as being simply "misunderstood by God" followed by a lawsuit against God. :o

but Cheshire is one crazy jackass, who's probably raped a few black females in his day.

and immigrant/refugee Rush Limbaugh, the convicted felon drug addict, called the victim a "ho" on his radio show. but she's been in the navy, and is a college student trying to pay for her education. while the little piss ants parents were paying for their education, not to commit rapes!

now knowing this ahead of time, what black woman would put herself through this type of scrutiny for a fake story. sounds to me like she wants justice for being violated, but white male america, esp. southern doesn't want her to have that justice because of the long standing impression that black women are still just "bed warmers" with no rights :o

meanwhile there's the Kate Fabers of the world...

and immigrant/refugee Paula Zahn of CNN feels the victim had other options besides being a stripper. typical jackass statement from a woman w/plenty of open doors awaiting her type!

too bad about no DNA. there are hundreds of black men still sitting in prison since before the 1970s for being accused of raping a white woman. and many similar Rosewood, FL incidents from black men being falsely accused of rape by white women. no witnesses, or even a rape exam, just her complaint to cover up something else  including preventing voter registration of blacks.
Two Duke lacrosse players indicted
Posted: Monday April 17, 2006 7:27PM; Updated: Monday April 17, 2006 9:09PM

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- A grand jury issued sealed indictments Monday against two members of the Duke University lacrosse team in connection with allegations that a stripper was raped last month at a team party, a defense attorney said.

"Today, two young men have been charged with crimes they did not commit," attorney Robert Ekstrand said in a statement. "This is a tragedy. For the two young men, an ordeal lies ahead. ... They are both innocent."

Ekstrand, who represents dozens of players, did not say which players were indicted or what charges they faced.

The grand jury adjourned around 2 p.m. Monday, handing up indictments a short time later to Superior Court Judge Ronald Stephens. A filing at the courthouse said the judge had sealed at least one indictment, citing a state law that allows an indictment to be "kept secret until the defendant is arrested or appears before the court."

A 27-year-old black woman told police she was attacked March 13 by three white men in a bathroom at a party held by the lacrosse team.

finally the little piss ants :hitler: and :kkk: worshippers have been arrested and I can broadcast their names all over repeatedly.

now if I did some work on them, to quote Joe Cheshire, an attorney who defended their character as "righteous", I'd find a history of racism, segregation, intolerance towards others, separate and unequal treatement (like how their own case was handled initially) because this behavior is learned, and typically starts in the home.

strange given both Duke university lacrosse team rapists are refugees from Europe. their family couldn't cut it in their own country so came here under slavery/"Jim Crow" laws and flourished at the expense of harming others, not from intelligence alone. and if I'm lucky, I'll find a history of violence towards women, including their own mothers.

Image
Image
Collin Finnerty - the Duke University lacrosse player who raped a black woman, but has no remorse because she's just a "black woman/stripper"

Finnerty also has a previous charge which will be directly affected by this current rape charge. he was arrested recently in Georgetown for "gay baiting" (my guess to beat up and/or rape a gay person) and the charges were dropped pending he stay out of trouble for a year. he's already been arrested in less than a year for another violent crime.

Image
Reade Seligmann, the other Duke University lacrosse player who raped a black woman, but has no remorse because she's just a "black woman/stripper"

both little piss ants are now claiming they weren't even at the party and have credit card receipts to prove it. :bs: excellent, excellent liars. but rapists and murderers are always good liars. just imagine... the only 2 arrested were the only 2 not at the party. what are the odds on that? or maybe they think the D.A. was just promoted last month and this is his first case?

What if they're telling the truth?

I am surprised that you would be so quick to make such a final judgement.

I know Dean it's hard for you to understand, and I don't just take sides in most situations. I listen first. and in this case, I have been listening. to the players' direct actions, their lawyers' comments, the media's comments, the D.A.'s comments, local residents comments and other info.

if they're telling the truth, then the D.A., the medical examiners and police officers are all lying. and the 9-1-1 callssss were all Oscar performances along w/her state that she was found in.

if there's one thing I know for sure it's the south. in the south, AND no where in the south, a case would not proceed against whites on just a poor or rich black woman's/persons word alone, even if she had a video tape to back up her story. or if anything the black person would be scrutinized as "incredible" first. as sure as I know my name, this I know.

also, I'm shocked there's EVEN a case with the amount of evidence found. a black woman accusing three white *boys* of raping her in the south??? stripper or not, there's generally no value placed on her to begin with. yet so much value placed on the little piss ants' life regardless of their character.

no D.A. is going to put his career on the line for this case of a black woman accusing 3 "coveted" white boys. who is the D.A. trying to impress? the poor black folks in the community? or the rich white folks who control the area and would side w/the Duke students first?

and I also know as a black woman down south, she wouldn't even waste her time making a fake claim in that area against "privileged" whites. when you grow up in the south, you know the deal, she knows she has less rights with or w/out a case -- sorry that's just a fact of life in the south.

the year number has changed, but the rules and mentality barely has changed. I also know that area very well. in that area especially, blacks accept inferior treatment, and most blacks don't even report white-on-black crimes because of past southern history. they've become conditioned to inferior treatment because they know there's only so much that has changed and who's still in charge. the klan still meets regularly in surrounding areas, therefore I know the area hasn't changed much. and it's disturbing that No. Carolina and So. Carolina are key primary states for presidential elections.

and this is not just from opinion, it's from seeing this directly. and is one reason I could never live in the south for an extended period of time. you're continually reminded you're black and less than human, no matter how polite, intelligent or respectful you are. and I ain't even got time to bring up what I saw in So. Carolina, or what I saw while travelling in the south recently.

given this KNOWN info, I know for sure this case would not have proceeded if it was based upon just her word alone.

the thing that someone pointed out is immediately after, the little piss ants became arrogant, not remorseful, not apologetic for the woman's situation or even helpful. not once have either stated "we're truly sorry for what she went through and the racial comments yelled out directly from our players, but we're not involved, and here's what we know happened".

instead the little piss ants lawyered up, and then immediately took the "she's a hoe" (valueless person) response and began pointing all attention to her background. it's called humanity. act like you care, at least.

let's say she's lying. why leave important personal belongings in the bathroom which had to be retrieved by cops? why did the little piss ants send the email about wanting to attack strippers after? why grab lawyerSSSSSSSS (1 lawyer wasn't enough?)? why evade police questioning? why investigate her past to prepare a case before even being indicted? why fire the coach? why cancel the season in the middile of a championship run? why bullshit w/words like "we wanna help the D.A. but only to provide damaging info about the woman (devalue her repeatedly, therefore, no case), but NOT provide info about what occurred w/in the house?

she was found immediately after leaving the house and THERE WERE 2 WOMEN PRESENT?

something serious obviously occurred in that house, but the little piss ants are playing the "duuh...we don't know what you're talking about, trust us, not her" as if everyone is stupid.

normally I don't quickly side w/issues esp. where it becomes a racial issue publicly, but just hearing the facts of the case is outrageous, along w/direct statements from the little piss ants, which is why they'll forever be known as little piss ants with or w/out a case involved.

even if the victim released a statement tomorrow indicating she doesn't want to proceed w/the case w/no other details, the players' behavior WREAKS of lack of integrity, racism, separate and unequal, human callousness and pure disgust, but I hope this doesn't derail their professional future. the little piss ants would make perfect southern leaders, and I hope Rush Limbaugh can continually praise them, gawd knows his opinion is most respected among little piss ants.

:soap: :whew: you can tell I have some "issues" about this one, huh? :haha:

little piss ants suspended from Duke, and they don't get their money back or credit for semester

their neighbors and childhood classmates deem them "saints" who can never do no wrong.

I guess Finnerty's arrest in D.C. for baiting an assault against a gay person was a set up by cops who were just lying to get him too!

Duke suspends accused lacrosse players, source says

Wednesday, April 19, 2006; Posted: 5:09 p.m. EDT (21:09 GMT)

DURHAM, North Carolina (CNN) -- Duke University has suspended two of its lacrosse players who were arrested Tuesday on rape and kidnapping charges, a source familiar with the investigation said Wednesday.

The suspension is effective until the case is resolved, the source said.

Reade Seligmann, 20, and Collin Finnerty, 19, are charged with raping an exotic dancer the Blue Devil lacrosse team hired to entertain at an off-campus party on March 13. Seligmann and Finnerty are each charged with first-degree sexual offense, first-degree forcible rape and first-degree kidnapping. (Watch what neighbor says about suspect -- 2:26)

Attorneys for Finnerty and Seligmann have maintained their clients are innocent.

Each has posted $400,000 bail and has been released, according to The Associated Press. (What's in store for Seligmann and Finnerty? -- 2:15)

Finnerty's attorney, Bill Cotter, said his client had returned home to New York, and police have searched his dorm room.

A student living in Finnerty's dorm said police came to Finnerty's and Seligmann's rooms Tuesday evening.

A woman in the Duke press office would not confirm the suspensions, but said, "Historically, it has been the university's practice to issue an interim suspension when a student is charged with a felony or when the student's presence on the campus may create an unsafe situation."

According to a Web site that Duke set up to address questions about the case, when a student faces serious criminal charges, the university can wait, usually at a student's request, to implement its disciplinary process until the case is resolved through the court system. The site adds, "In such an instance, interim actions may be taken."

Prosecutors had hoped for a third arrest Tuesday, but District Attorney Mike Nifong said "the evidence available to me at this moment does not permit that."

Finnerty and Seligmann are scheduled to appear in court May 15. The prosecution must hand over its evidence to the defense at that time.

Sources close to the investigation have said that the two men are innocent and that they weren't at the party at the time of the alleged assault.

The defense will present evidence that a cab driver took one of the students to an ATM, where his photo was captured on a security camera, and that the other lacrosse player was at a restaurant, the sources said.

A medical examination of the 27-year-old woman showed signs consistent with sexual assault, but DNA samples taken from the players failed to match material collected by investigators, according to court documents and the defense lawyers in the case.

The defense attorneys also said photographs taken at the party show the woman was injured before she arrived.

The university has canceled the remainder of the lacrosse season, and head coach Mike Pressler resigned after 16 years. Duke last year reached the national finals, losing 9-8 to Johns Hopkins University.

Pressler stepped down amid comments by university President Richard Brodhead, indicating there was a "history of boorish behavior and underage drinking" among players.

Thanks Tamra.

After what I've read about other cases and my own personal experiences, I wasn't surprised they immediately hired lawyers and wouldn't talk to police. I've only read AP reports though and I missed their initial statements.

I like to think I'm being more objective about this case, but maybe I'm just less informed.

I was touched by her father's statement. Nothing would hurt me more than harm coming to my son.

Take Care,

boy they're really playing up the receipt and cab ride thing as if it's credible enough to believe they don't know what occurred in that frat house

I just hope when they're raped in prison, their claim is believed!

but anywayssss... money doesn't mean integrity. just ask Venrock, SteelEye or Enron!

Duke suspects share privileged backgrounds
Both attended prep schools in New York City's suburbs

Tuesday, April 18, 2006; Posted: 5:35 p.m. EDT (21:35 GMT)

GARDEN CITY, New York (AP) -- They grew up in privileged surroundings in the suburbs of New York City.

Collin Finnerty of Long Island and Reade Seligmann of New Jersey both come from a world of golf courses and multimillion-dollar homes and were educated at exclusive all-boys Catholic prep schools.

Their paths merged after the high school lacrosse stars won admission to Duke University, and continued their athletic and academic careers.

On Tuesday, they stood as co-defendants, accused of raping a stripper at an off-campus party in Durham, North Carolina.

Defenders quickly came forward at both of their high schools. Finnerty, 19, was described as a good student and athlete who was never in any trouble, while Seligmann, 20, was remembered as a kid incapable of committing such a heinous act.

"Knowing Reade Seligmann as well as we do here at Delbarton, I believe him innocent of the charges," said the Rev. Luke L. Travers, headmaster at Seligmann's $22,500-a-year high school.

"The hearts and prayers of our community go out to Reade and his family, the woman who made the accusations, the players on the Duke lacrosse team and all their families," he said.

At Chaminade High School on Long Island, where Finnerty was among the 1,600 students, his former lacrosse coach said the young man "really was never in any trouble. Basically, more of a quiet kid."

Jack Moran, the Chaminade lacrosse coach for 28 years, recalled Finnerty as an A student and a good teammate.

"Collin obviously was a very good player," Moran said before practice Tuesday. "He was good enough to play at Duke. He was a good student. ... Obviously, a good enough student to qualify academically for Duke."

An education at Chaminade cost $6,670 a year in regular tuition, while students in the elite collegiate program paid more than $23,000 annually.

According to court documents, Finnerty was arrested six months ago in Washington, D.C., after an alleged gay-bashing incident. Jeffrey Bloxgom said Finnerty and two of his high school teammates hurled anti-gay insults and punched him repeatedly.

Finnerty entered a diversion program, under which the charges will be dismissed after the completion of 25 hours of community service. His next court appearance was set for September 25.

Both defendants graduated from high school in 2004. There were other similarities in their upbringings.

Finnerty hails from Garden City, New York, and lived in a Dutch colonial house on a cul-de-sac. A lacrosse net and equipment were visible in the yard, which abuts a golf course. No one answered the door at the Finnerty home Tuesday morning.

Seligmann grew up in well-to-do Essex Fells, New Jersey, where multimillion-dollar homes also abound and the current mayor grew up with the lacrosse player's dad.

"Reade Seligmann's a great kid," said Mayor Edward P. Abbot. "The Seligmanns have been a great Essex Fells family."

The Seligmanns' home -- a two-story red-brick house with twin white columns -- sits about 17 miles west of Manhattan and within a mile and a half of three golf courses. The 6-foot-1 sophomore was a leader at the high school lacrosse powerhouse Delbarton, winning an award for outstanding athlete when he was a senior.

Essex Fells, with a population of just over 2,100, has a median household income of $148,000, according to the Census Bureau.

The Seligmanns' neighbors declined to speak with reporters and called police when the media stepped on their property.
and in this case, "privileged" means think less of certain people to the point where physical harm means nothing.
