Firefox & Thunderbird

Post by Hmph »

Firefox and Thunderbird from http://www.mozilla.org are sweet!

Firefox uses many of the same features as IE, but better quality and performance and security. Some graphics aren't displayed properly, but hey it's the 1.0 version and I can live with a little off imaging, than a big ol security flaw. I like the different themes and toolbar management

And Thunderbird is a lot more slicker and secure than Outlook Express or Outlook.

Score another point for free and open sourced products!

I like Firefox. I use Firefox for allll my web browsing now. And tamra since you know about Firefox maybe you could help me on this....I heard there is a way to connect to a server multiple times to load pages faster with Firefox...any diea as to how you'd go about doing that?

I think its something in the config settings somewhere and changing a number from 1 to like 6...(I'm vague I know so shoot me!)

huh? are you talking about web browsing... shyat isn't that what I do daily using the tabbed window option. I have connections/processes going on various sites at once.

other than that   but options should be the same for Mac as for PC. there's only a small number of options... if anything extra, would have been in advanced options or general connections option.

however, are you sure you're not talking about Thunderbird, which allows so many types of connections in and out.
