Huh? What? Who?

last year i was contacted to add a tribute to a recently fallen soldier in Iraq.

a woman comes along last year w/pics of the son as well as a photo of him w/her in a very intimate pose. she continues to send emails w/info etc.

just today the WIFE of the fallen soldier comes along, claiming she knows nothing about the child but knows about the woman and says she would file a restraining order against the woman if she made contact w/her.

but get this, the child looks IDENTICAL to the fallen soldier. ok this is some serious Jerry Springer shit.

I didn't know what to do and felt bad for both, but out of respect for the soldier, removed the "other woman's" tribute. the wife and his immediate family should come first.

sad situation, but I know 10-20 years from now this situation will boil over if not sooner because the "other woman" wants the death benefits too, but I don't think that would matter because she had no agreement w/the father at all.

We did some printing for a guy who's company puts up tributes to fallen soldiers. He came back later and wanted our company to sponsor one of the tributes. I forget how much he wanted, but it seemed pretty expensive at the time. I wondered, as he drove away in his Lexus, if he was motivated by a sincere desire honor the soldiers and their families or just personal gain.

I know this is pretty sad because there's a married dead soldier involved and an "other woman" that I can't really have sympathy for. I do however feel for the baby because the mother is spending her time calculating plans to let everyone know she's the other woman w/a baby by the dead soldier.

she has no paternity proof, just her word and is coming out at the wrong time w/her story. and not like the baby is new, but a few years old. so why didn't she stake her claim at time of birth.

No offense intended, but do you sometimes feel like a magnet for whackos? I enjoy being a member here, but it seems like running the place is a whole different story. If I was in your place, I might have just said to hell with it. Thanks for not doing that. I hope some of these clowns decide to give you a break.

crazy people are just persistent. as we've seen by the "saraliba" person. they just don't give up until they find some other bright shiny object to fixate on.
