Did you find that article doing a Google search Tam?

Lawrd have mercy... the questions y'all ask.

Why do MEN & WOMEN cheat? ~ because they feel like it!

I'un know to tell you the truth ... I think a more appropriate question to ask would be, have you ever cheated, and why? How I'm gon' tell you why this man cheated on his girl (if I don't know him personally)? From the outside, if she looks a mess, I might just say because she looks like a creature from the black lagoon, and he found someone better ... but hey, that might not be the case ... because beauty is in the eye of the BEHOLDER ... and beauty is really only skin deep.

umm only reason why a man would date someone who looked like a mess to begin with is because he was playing her for something. why date someone he's not attracted to? that's gross.

but you're right, you can't answer why all cheat, but yall some lying cheatin bastids... can you at least admit that (just kidding)

Chile Boom ... :8-|

First of all ... I've dated a female that I was NOT ... lemme repeat NOT physically attracted to ... she had a very sweet heart, and the coochie was hella good.... No Shade. I never cheated on her. I did break up with her when she asked me to move in though ... I was only 16, and she was 21. I told her ... what if she put me out, my mom would never let me come back home.

Now I can tell you when I did cheat on my girl when I was a teenager, and why.

I did it because I could, and could get away with it without her finding out, and she was doing trifling things to upset me on purpose (ie: went to a party at skateland with a skirt on so short, if she bent over to pick up a damn quarter, you could see her panties.) She refused to change ... We argued, but I still carried her, and even picked up her slutty azz cousins, too. We got to the party. I walked around with her brother and a few of our friends. Yes her brother and I were like roll dawgs. Guess what we saw as we walked by her dancing with this dude.... He was pulling her skirt up, and she didn't even know. I went over, stood in front of them. Dude acted like he'd seen a ghost. I didn't fight him that time ... po-po was right there. But at the next event ... I got him, and he was wearing a Brand New WHITE Triple Fat Goosed Down Jacket he'dprobably gotten for Christmas .... it was a Valentine's Day dance.

The moral of the story is ... don't piss me off ... I might do something you'd hate to find out about.

Did I answer your freaking question?

The Psychology of Cheating

Post by thewiseonecommeth »

After reading some of the posts regarding this often discussed topic between men and women, I thought I would toss in my personal views and experiences regarding cheating on your partner / girlfriend / wife.

Their have been many theories as to why a person in a romantic relationship cheats on their significant other. Everyone has either heard stories of such horrible betrayal, or experienced it themselves, whether on the giving end or receiving end. But what is the reasoning behind cheating?

In an ideal world and ideal relationship, two people remain faithful to each other for the length of the relationship, or perhaps a lifetime. However we all know this is not usually the case. So why do people cheat on each other? I can summarize it in one word: Lack.

A relationship usually breaks down and cheating occurs when there is some sort of lack: lack of communication, lack of honesty, lack of confidence in oneself, lack of happiness, lack of physical or emotional attraction, etc. Regardless of the origin and nature of this "lack", who is to blame though?

Some women feel they are to blame when a man cheats on them: thinking if they had only done this or that, perhaps their man would not of cheated on them to begin with. Bullshit. In certain situations perhaps a woman who works too much, or gives too little attention to her partner may be an indirect cause of the man's lack of happiness and seeking affection elsewhere. However, I personally believe there is no reason why cheating should occur. If you are unhappy with your partner about something, or feel a "lack", communication is the key over making excuses or being a coward stating "she never listens to me".

Let's face it: if communication has broken down to that degree, the only reason you have to stay with a person like that is usually out of obligation, guilt, or usually fear that you will not find someone else.

And what of a situation where a woman treats her guy like a King, communicates with him, and yet he still cheats on her. Analyze the situation: where is the lack. Usually in situations like this, the guy is stuck in his comfort zone. Perhaps he enjoys the adrenaline rush and craves the occassional need for someone to "stroke" his ego to reassure himself that he has "still got it". In cases like this sometimes you can do too much for someone. Very soon you may come to realize that this person takes the things you do for them, for granted since they have become so conditioned to knowing you will always do their dishes...or you will always do their laundry, etc.

Ultimately though I feel that whether you are the cheater or the one being cheated on, both are equally to blame if they allow it to happen over and over. Obviously if this is only the first time it happens, depending on the severity of the situation you need to determine if it is worth trying to work it out. Yet equally recognizing the fact that you may always have it in the back of your mind that it could happen again since they have proven they are capable of this act.

Someone can only control you, or take advantage of you if you allow them to. I have heard every excuse possible why some women stay with a man they know is cheating on them. From not having a job to support themselves, to "I love him...he won't do it again", to the worst of the bunch "We have kids together".

Kids are more intelligent than people give them credit for. If you know your husband is cheating on you, there is always distrust between the two of you, possible arguements, a feeling of betrayal, and eventually a built up resentment. Kids pick up on this and before you know it, they are conditioned to natural think part of love and a relationship IS argueing, cheating on each other, resentment, etc. which will definately effect their own relationships as adults. That is no environment for a child to live in, regardless of how you may attempt to reason it out to yourself.

Not leaving that person and allowing them to continue to do that to you, is nothing short of your own fears of not being able to support yourself, not being able to raise the kids on your own, or being afraid you will be alone for the rest of your life. What good is quantity of life, if you do not have quality of it for yourself and your kids?

For anyone who knows their partner cheats on them and continues to allow it, you have noone to blame but yourself if you do not take your destiny and life into your own hands.

I have been cheated on, and have also cheated on a few people in the past and can honestly say it isnt worth it. I would rather communicate my issues and see if it is worth saving the relationship, and if not move on, than to cheat on someone. One thing is for sure for those who believe in Karma: what goes around, comes around. You cheat on someone now without any remorse or attempt at either resolving the lack or moving on...don't be surprised if in the near future, when you think you have found the person you want to be with for the rest of your life or found true love...that they end up cheating on you. :)

Thanks for listening to my view!
