ok the guy from New Orleans, gee just forgot his name, but he was the one who's parents were singers and featured. HE'S NOT FROM NEW ORLEANS. I'm guessing that whole story about his parent was fake for attention.

the reason I say this is because people from New Orleans NEVER say New Or-leens, it's always Nawlin or N'awlins. it's just one of those things that you're born and raised with. I smell a faker. :nay:

Man...that dude had me cracking up!!!
He was seriously on some crazy stuff...he really had me laughing

I can't believe Randy and Paula got that pissed off at Simon about those twins...but in all honesty, they were NOT that good in my opinion...wouldn't have made it to the finals anyway. And they only accepted 16 people...damn New Orleans sucked...

Tonight's epsiode wasn't bad at all, can't wait until next week February 1st when they show the talent from CLEVELAND!!!

Oh God please, please PLEASE don't let my hometown be an embarassment...again.

what did Simon say -- does he come with subtitles :lmfao: dude just wanted to be on TV and nothing else. he was a chump, a crackhead looking for something to get into. he needs to bring that act to a subway in NYC since he was wearing a Bronx t-shirt.

yeah you'd think with all the gospel churches down there, there'd have been a lot more singers who made it through. but ironically a lot were not from New Orleans. but homegirl from Ponchatoula represented. YOU GO! hard to believe she's a true cajun girl, she hardly had an accent, but knew by name, yup she's from louisiana.

and yup those last set of twins weren't all that. :nay:

but funny seeing Gene Simmons. he was almost as bad as Simon. I was cracking up.

'Idol' singer watched audition from jail
Leroy Wells was arrested for assault, weapons charge
The Associated Press
Updated: 2:25 p.m. ET Jan. 28, 2005

MOBILE, Ala. - One of the contestants on the new season of “American Idol” was in jail when his bizarre performance aired Tuesday night.

Leroy Wells’ audition for the Fox television talent competition was taped last summer in New Orleans.

He bounced onstage while talking about sandblasting paint for a living at a shipyard near his home near Mobile.

“American Idol” judge Randy Jackson told Wells: “Dog, you ain’t right for this, man, but listen, we love you.”

A stunned Simon Cowell called the performance “ridiculous.”

Wells, 22, of Grand Bay, was arrested Jan. 5 on charges of assault and firing a weapon. Jail records show he’s also awaiting trial on drug charges and has pleaded guilty to marijuana possession in 2004 and disorderly conduct in June 2003.

That mime had me cracking up for real!!! :lmfao:  It was funny, yet so, so sad...but hey, we did have some good talent come out so I'm not TOO dissapointed, even though there were so many bad voices...but thats what I expected, because as we all know, CLEVELAND SUCKS!!! And some of those contestants need a reality check...seriously. Are they tone deaf or something? Or are they just clamering for their 5 minutes of fame? Either way, they still suck. At least we had more people make it to Hollywood than New Orleans...take THAT Big Easy!!! :lmfao: And our city didn't even get a full hour...wtf is up with that?! We got robbed, robbed I tell ya!

Lots of local New York & New Jersey talent. I thought Rashida had a beautiful voice. But she was cut. She reminds me of Phyllis Hyman. Deep & sincere. She'll make it.

what do you think

Post by Hmph »

 constantine, one of the american idol rocker contestants was also recently on eliminidate (?spelling)

Which makes me wonder... Are these reality shows really reality are just wanna be actors taking their first national gig? The 1st bachelor auditioned for several reality shows, and notice no marriage ever.

Wow, I just heard that there was a mix up with the numbers of three of the contestants, and now they're gonna have to re-do the show from last time...lol.
