best moments: the gospel with Mavis Staples, the southern jam bands (good stuff, good times), and the tribute to my all time favorite diva, Janis Joplin.

now THAT was what music was all about. stuff you can get together with friends and listen to, good concerts and lots of fun events. and notice NO fights like every dayum year at the source or vibe awards.

can you get together with friends and sing R Kelly's "I Don't See Nothin' Wrong With A Little Bump N Grind?" :nope: but you can stand around with friends and sing "My Girl" by The Temps and all the old classics. :nod:

John Mayer's stuff is pretty cool too.

It was definitely old school night. But at least a decent show. The J-Lo Mark Anthony set was weak and boring.
