I have the collectors catalog from the last christie's auction (where the sheer dress worn to the b-day party for JFK was auctioned off)

if you can't make the auction, and this is of interest, the catalog is worth the buy because there are a lot of intriguing items.

sad and intriguing woman.

I don't see the fly in there. You know the fly on the wall that saw who killed her. Wonder where Hoover put that at.

 yeah but I have the collector's item book from Christie's. one of the items appeared to be a suicide note type poem and it was in her handwriting. that note only sold for about 10K, but would have thought for more.

when I get settled, I'll post what the note said. makes ya think yanno.

she did have a painful past with mental illness in her family, and childhood rape. I think so many powerful people took advantage of her vulnerability.

She was always very childlike. I don't think she ever had a good head on her shoulders. But on the other hand she had some good marriages to good men but Hollywood spoiled her. You know they say she took all those pills but none of them ever digested. In order for her to have committed suicide with those pills they would have to be in the blood stream and they never were. That's probably the reason for the low going price on the note. Nobody believes it.

but I loved the way Joe DiMaggio looked out for her. he was such a quiet man, and a good man to her. she just couldn't see it from mental illness. the simplicity DiMaggio wanted to me was actually more golden than the glamour life that killed her.

that's the type of story that needs to be developed, his love for her and why. even at funeral he made sure those who took advantage of her were NOT WELCOME :hand:

You're a mind reader now too eh?? He really did love her and was good guidance for her, but Hollywood had more control over her than anyone. Back then they owned you.

Yep. You should check out Cary Grants background. He is the one that changed all that for actors. Not only was he handsome suave and funny he was very intelligent. He basically put those studio owners in their place and the rest is history.
