Too bad he didn't marry her. Would have helped race relations. Acknowledging the son is a good start most def.

Prince Albert is not a royal prince, but a serene prince. However, since he wasn't married, the Constitution of Monaco doesn't allow for legal adknowledgment, just social acknowledgment. I'm sure he'll support his child, and has already done so, but to add the child to the line of succession he can't do, now.

This is how all those wars broke out all over Europe and England back when. In England, the wars and beheadings were over who was legitimate, the Catholic heirs or the Anglican heirs. I don't think Monaco would have internal wars; it wouldn't be good for the tourist trade.
