There was a woman over them and I believe she was fired or whatever they do to you in the military, but she said she was told by her superiors. I really don't know how that turned out. But I do know you have to follow orders whatever they may be or you can be court martialed.

my whole thing is this: it's an unsanctioned war and second guessing our troops now is not helping, it's certainly not decreasing their deaths. so now our troops have to worry about saving their ass and making the right split second life or death decision.

I don't think the soldiers punished should have been stripped of anything, maybe a slap on wrist and give something else to do because again we've seen what happens when our soldiers are imprisoned by the same aunts and uncles

of those imprisoned at abu gharib

If Bushy hadn't started this war to hide Saudi Arabias complicity in 9/11 we would not be discussing any of this.

The Geneva Convention states that at no time are prisoners allowed to be tortured. We know it happens though, and the fact that these idiots took pictures proves it. Stupid asses. Because the pictures became public we have no choice but reprimand them. Slaps on the wrist will not do ya'll.

"England's lawyer Rick Hernandez said last week that the defense will present evidence during the sentencing that England has severe learning disabilities and mental problems."

"Several investigations have been conducted, but so far only low-level soldiers have been charged, though the defendants have alleged that high-level officials condoned the abuse."

Well, I was pleasantly shocked when I read the following article:

I don't understand the ruling at all. Dean can you help me out there. tamra she was a clerk over there. All the more disturbing to me why she did the things she did. She was either visiting or dropping something off at the prison when they invited her to ummmmmmmmm have a little fun ???

I believe she worked there and was told by her superior to pose for the pictures.

Apparently the judge did not accept the guilty pleas and the plea bargain, because the defense presented testimony in the sentencing phase of the trial that indicated she was innocent of some of the charges. He admonished her lawyers and said “you cannot plead guilty then present evidence that you’re not guilty”. He declared a mistrial and entered not guilty pleas on her behalf. A couple of the charges were dismissed in a pretrial agreement and the remainder of the charges will likely be tried at a later date after they go back to the convening authority (whatever that means).

The mistrial came as quite surprise to me, I'm curious to see how it turns out.
