Katie Couric dropped his azz like a hot potato when the pope died. How you gonna schedule yourself to be at a funeral then cancel for a "better" funeral. That's tacky.

:laffin: Katie is my girl, it probably was not her decision lol. Anyways I absolutely adoooored Johnny. :( I'm not alone either. His funeral was held in a 5000 seat cathedral with standing room only.

well...she *is* a big time exec at NBC, so she could theoretically have managed both in one way or another, esp. since she was scheduled for first one. she only went early to Rome days before the actual pope's funeral to cover reaction to his death.

 I don't know in thinking about it, sounds kinda strange, I guess never hearing about oh sorry, I can't go to this funeral anymore, but I'm gonna go hang out somewhere else and wait for another one.

but I guess she figured, if there's no breath, it must be death... and then made the choice.

I didn't know that about her being an exec. I like her even more now. :D I remember when she first signed on she was so quiet and timid. Look at her now !!

If I'm up before my local news comes on I watch CNN but mostly I watch that online throughout the day.

But she is a major contributor to network. She should have some say.
