Thought: Love your neighbor as you would love yourself

is not possible if you don't love yourself 
disrespecting and destroying yourself by doing harmful things daily makes it impossible to love someone else, or at least not in a positive way. constantly harboring bitterness, scorn, wicked plans, etc. is not loving one's self, but are surely things that will destroy the person.
like that stupid expression: keep your enemies closer. isn't this the highest form of paranoid schizophrenia?! because the person assumed to be an enemy in most cases doesn't even think once, let alone twice about other person, as no animosity or ill thoughts exist, and is living their life as if the other person doesn't matter. while the "keep enemies closer" person spends days plotting and planning cartoonish stuff to be a part of someone's life via deceit. that is definitely not self-love or neighborly love
