Turns out there was no trial for me...since one of my co-workers who REALLY hated it there decided to get an attitude and was asked to leave...the thing is she was full time, sooo I don't think they'll be going and giving me a pink slip for now cause we're short-handed

Awww...I really wish there was something I can do...but what can I say, my money is tight, and it might get tighter seeing as there is STILL something wrong with my transmission...

However, the mechanic said hes gonna come out and fix it tomorrow so we'll see what happens...

*sigh* This is almost enough to make me start taking the damn bus...

And yeah, I'm sad too...

The General Manager just talked to me today about the incident...and they gave me a one-time performance warning...meaning if I screw up again, I'm done...

But like I said, I don't really care. A job is a job, and if I lose it, I lose it. I don't mind being broke...although it'll suck until I find something else...

well heeey :hello: I was just about to start wondering where you were. I was like "oh cool, he's out discovering Cleveland" and having fun for a minute.

but I wouldn't worry about the job thing. you can't change people only your reaction to them. so they're gonna do what they're gonna do, so just focus on what you need to do for school, and don't look back when you finish school.

we need more black men in school and working. I was just talking about the Return of the Living Thugs and how we start getting rid of 'em before it's too late. to them what you're doing is for suckers, but it takes a lot of discipline and putting up with the stupidest things some times before things get better for the long haul.

and better you experience this now to prepare you, because in the corporate world, :whew: whew chile....well let's not go there now....

Nope, lately I've just been catching up on sleep...but now thats over. I have a Java assignment that I have to get done by Tuesday...and I work all weekend AND Monday night. Plus I have a Math test on Wednesday...which means, I'm gonna be pulling all-nighters tonight, tomorrow, and monday to get that damn program done...oh, and heres my work schedule for the big Thanksgiving weekend:

Friday:
10:00am - 11:00pm

Saturday:
7:30am - 6:00pm

I guess I have to say goodbye to sleep for a while...looks like while my family is saying grace and eating turkey, I'll be out cold...

I swear, if I don't get sunday off, I'm gonna kick my boss several times in the head...the funny thing is, EVERYONE's schedule is this way...make me scared as to what kind of day its gonna be...

Wow. Dejavu. I went through this same thing a few years ago. Things happen in retail on all levels. And at the same time I was preparing a thesis and working full-time during school. So very stressed. The retail job wasn't a priority, but a necessity.

It's hard, but don't let it get you down. Your boss should understand given they know what all you do on and off the job. It could be worse, they could have some scandalous people working for them who really are ripping them off. That is more common in retail here, employees work to steal. We had to watch employees and customers.

So just focus on what your real goals are and keep reminding yourself it's only until school ends. I had to do this to stop me from quitting many of times.
