I tried to order some pain medication through a similar outfit once for my husbands terminal arthritis,
paid a fortune for it and it was worthless, asparin grade pain reliever.
Then I tried to order one more package from another group that promised extra strngth dutch style pain relievers and guess what happened.
It was confiscated through customes before it ever got here.

That was before we found a good pain management doctor.

wow, you got lucky you weren't arrested for drug trafficking, well the end result of it, possession

it's happened before, as in the feds delivered the packages directly

but I figure if it's legal, so much effort wouldn't be made to mask, mirror and forge information, and then blindly solicit to grab someone. do they not think cops/law enforcement have email or websites? it's how a NJ Attorney General busted an online university. his cat got a degree after he received an email for easy degrees.

and the actual site for the email solicitors even has BBB and verisign stickers on it.

don't matter though all the emails are going to the FDA and then right into an FBI report for the forgery and fake site part, but the DEA should really be handling this more. the issue is kids can freely buy this stuff, no questions asked.

the other issue is possibly terrorists using this for funding as some of the domains originate in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and Iraq. but more time is spent chasing down marijuana distribution than this more serious unmonitored stuff.

ROFL. Yes dear t-boo, we thought about the possible downside of events that could unravel in this scenario and..... thank God they didn't happen.
How far would they take a prosecution on an old arthritic man?

OMG! One story I read,,, a man from New York on a pain med that doc prescribes him decides to move to Florida. In Florida this particular pain med is illegal.
The man calls his New York doc and asks him to write the prescriptions as he did for 6 years and he'll try to get them filled at pharmacy.

The man was arrested for trying to fill them. The doctor was brought up on charges and was forced to either give up his medical licsense, so the doc stated that the former patient forged the prescrition in order to keep his medical liscense. The doctor lied. How pathetic, why not take it to the supreme court and challenge it for posterity.
That patient is still in Prison. In Florida. An old man.
I t was just a drug that was legal in NY and turned out to be illegal in Florida.

what'd he think? the Florida pharmacist wouldn't notice it, and then go out and FIND the illegal product (which suddenly made the product legal) and then lose their job as well?

either way, the patient had plenty of other options, instead of taking the stupid route and trying to get an Rx filled for a known illegal product, as in he obviously knew it wasn't allowed in Florida by the fact that he had to go through NY to get it.

that's like someone w/a medical Rx for marijuana going to a state where it's illegal and expecting it to become legal because he had an Rx

The man did not know the legal drug which he'd been taking for 6 years in newYork was decidedly illegal only in the state of Florida.
He hadn't found a new Florida pain management doctor yet in Florida as he'd just moved there that month.
So he called his New York doc to write the usual prescription for the month until he could find a new doc.
Neither the NY doc nor the patient knew of the laws that existed in Florida.

even still that whole situation sounds strange.

when I've moved out of state, I've never gone back to the previous state for medical services, but a new doctor in the new state because I thought pharmacies operate under state, then federal laws.

say you're travelling and injured in a new state. you can't call your old doctor and say, "I think I need this too while I'm in the hospital" and an RX is presented to the hospital in another state.

the doctor in the new state should issue all meds.

for many now, there's also pharmacy by mail option through his insurance that the guy could have looked into while searching for a new doc.

the doctor in NY shouldn't have been writing him Rx's for his Florida residence as isn't that is illegal?? I thought doctors were licensed for the state, not the country. and I thought a doctor has to see or treat patient w/in the state to prescribe meds, even if seen before. if the guy was smart, have a relative or friend pick up his Rx in NY and ship it to him since it was more critical than finding a new doc.

Interesting that you think the way you do. I put the quality of life far above any state of government. Most of us get set in our ways and know that our body needs a certain med to function. We are set in our ways with seeing our favorite doctor for the last 10 years and I can see this same scenario unraveling in my life, I can see it potentially occuring in all the elderly people that move to a new state, retiremment community.
But the difference is if it happened to me, I'd take every Fed charge right to the supreme court. Simply for the reason that No state will deny me a medication my body needs because they can't control drug addict teens that will do any thing to get their hands on the triplicate prescription. If they are going to violate doctor and patient relationship, then they need to give a one time warning on each occurence. I don't want to pay the $70,000 a year housing cost in prison taxes that lock up this type of non criminal person for 5 years.
Those prison cells are suppose to be used for violent criminals, theives and rapists.
This is why I love Switzerland so much. The quality of a persons life, health and their comfort supercedes any law instituted by law makers.

yeah you're right, if it was an honest mistake or just poor planning on the patient's part, he should have been given a warning.

I've just never heard of doctor's writing out of state Rx's. that was the shocking news to me, given the strict process to get licensed w/in a state.

but to be given that harsh a sentence means something else we're not aware of. it's not always the way it's written about and we don't always have all the minute court document details.

but unfortunately if this was a mistake and he didn't just get a warning from an honest mistake, then he's probably paying the price from others doing the same thing knowingly and illegally, and another reason why state drug laws differ.

if this medicine was so serious the question is why is it not legal in Florida. if it wasn't as critical/serious why didn't he take the time to get a doctor locally. the time he spent getting an Rx from a doctor some 1000+ miles away instead of just picking up the phone locally or walking into a hospital and getting help if he was in such pain is baffling

and why isn't anyone legally looking into this if it was an honest mistake?
