Ya know, it's funny... whenever I'm looking at a prospective employee's application, the very first thing I look at is the box that says, "Date You Can Start" to see what their answer is. Nearly every single applicant puts something other than a date ("Today", "Next week", "Two weeks from today", etc.). I know it may sound a bit petty, but if I don't see an actual date in that box, I won't hire 'em... lack of attention to detail. Morons. READ THE FRIGGIN' FORM!!!
I usually write "Upon hire date" there ... only because, putting a date like today's date just seems a little young-minded. Just my opinion.
But thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to ask that question, should I ever apply for another job that Uncle Sam can tax me for.
