Years ago I found a list of hurricanes and there was a Hurricane Dean. It was a relatively mild one and I was a bit disappointed. Looking back, I can't believe I was that stupid. I've lived most of my life in southern California, I've never seen a hurricane or tornado, and I've been lucky enough to miss the occasional earth quake. Only recently has it sunk in, how devastating hurricanes can be.

I know my little Hurricane Tammy got downgraded to a tropical storm, but sure sent some rains northeast.

but hurricanes are going to get worse w/global warming. oh, just another problem our leaders have neglected like levee protection
