if converse was good enough for NBA legends

Post by Hmph »

what's the deal with the expensive more than a mortgage payment shoes required by NBA players now???

if Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem, Dr. J, Pistol Pete, Magic, Bird, Isaiah, Joe Dumars and so many other legends played with simple ass Converse shoes, and made some spectular plays with Converse on, then what in the world is all the air lift, lights, spring, pump, etc. stuff for???

somebody is being punked and it ain't me. I ain't buying it. :nope: if payless can't rock it, it ain't worth it! :snooty:

Gurllll have U seen the cost of athletic shoes these days? More than a car payment or a medical bill.

What I want to know is before becoming a college superstar or pro-baller, what shoes were used to become a superstar? Most of these guys come from poor areas or parents with 1 income.

Look at this this way. A skier needs good skis. So players need good shoes. Back in the day, Converse was the good shoe. Jimmies was the cheapies.
